Project Background
With the rapid development of wireless communication technology, radio equipment is increasingly being used in modern society. To fulfill the customer’s demand for accurate radio signal detection in outdoor complex environments, we took on the challenging task of designing and developing a portable, high-performance portable radio detector with triple protection features (waterproof, dustproof, and shockproof).

Solution
Faced with this challenge, our team proposed the following solutions after in-depth research:
- Adopt high-performance radio detection chips to ensure the detector’s excellent signal capture and analysis capabilities.
- Design a compact and lightweight enclosure structure to facilitate outdoor carrying and operation by users.
- Introduce advanced sealing technology and shock-resistant materials to ensure the detector can function normally in harsh environments.
Project Process
Step 1-Portable Radio Detector Industrial Design
Based on customer requirements and market research, we designed a radio detector with a stylish appearance and user-friendly operation. At the same time, OPD Product Design fully considered portability and user experience to ensure the product meets outdoor usage needs.

Step 2-Mechanical Design

Step 3-Hardware Development
In the hardware development phase, we selected high-performance radio detection chips and stable power management modules. We also considered the product’s power consumption and heat dissipation issues to ensure it can operate stably for extended periods.
Step 4-Firmware Development
Firmware development is crucial to the product’s functionality. Our team wrote efficient and stable firmware code, enabling fast signal capture, accurate analysis, and real-time display. We also added automatic calibration and fault detection functions to improve the product’s stability and reliability.
Step 5-Prototype Fabrication and Testing
After completing hardware and firmware development, we fabricated a product prototype and conducted rigorous testing. The test results showed that our product exhibited excellent performance and reliability, meeting customer demands.
Step 6-Portable Radio Detector Mold Development
Based on the prototype test results, we proceeded with mold design and development. Through continuous optimization of mold structure and manufacturing processes, we ensured product quality and production efficiency.
Step 7-Portable Radio Detector Mass Production
After completing mold development, we initiated mass production. We adopted advanced production equipment and strict quality control systems to ensure each product met customer expectations.
